FAQ

Straight answers to the questions buyers ask most about Kelios OTR wheels — how they are made, what they fit, and how we stand behind them.

Products & engineering
Kelios produces the full multi-piece OTR wheel — rim bases, lock rings, side rings, bead seat bands, mounting discs, and complete assembled wheels — across six product families, with 44 OEM-matched variants in production.
Every rim, ring, and band is forged from high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) and carbon structural steel — never cast. Forging aligns the grain with the load path and closes internal porosity, which is what gives the wheel its fatigue life under continuous impact loading.
Manufacturing capability spans wheel and rim diameters from 25 to 63 inches, covering everything from grader rims to the largest Tier-1 haul-truck assemblies.
Every design is solved under 1.4× rated load in a Von Mises finite-element (FEA) solver before tooling is cut, with mesh refinement at the lock-ring seat and bead radii where field failures historically begin.
Compatibility & ordering
Our range is interchangeable with the major OEMs — Komatsu, Caterpillar, BelAZ, Hitachi, Terex, LeTourneau and more. Each variant reproduces the original hub interface, bead profile, load rating, and lock-ring geometry exactly, so it is a true drop-in replacement.
Wheels are built to BS / ISO 4250-3, AS 4457.1, and GB/T 2883, under an ISO 9001 quality system that has held independent third-party certification for more than 20 years.
Standard OEM-matched variants ship from production. Custom sizes are engineered on request, with a typical lead time of about 14 weeks.

Quality & support
Every Kelios rim is warranted against manufacturing and material defects for the life of the chassis it rides on — backed by the forging, the 1.4× proof test, and the heat-lot record behind every serial number.
Each order includes material certificates, the 100% Grade-II ultrasonic (UT) weld inspection report, the proof-test record, and a heat-lot-traceable QC sheet. Every component is laser-serialized so any wheel in the field can be traced back to its heat lot, weld log, and test certificate.
Yes. Kelios field engineers operate from six regional bases — Dalian, Antofagasta, Perth, Johannesburg, Almaty, and Belo Horizonte — providing on-site inspection, assembly and safety training, rapid parts dispatch, and failure analysis, with a 24/7 breakdown contact line.
Both. You can tour the Dalian forging complex, or have a field engineer come to your pit for a wheel audit and fitment review. Arrange either from the Site Visits page — one message, one business day.
