BEAD SEAT BAND

FOR THE FIT

The conical band that mates the tire bead to the rim base — the friction interface that decides whether a tire holds or migrates at low pressure. Precision-machined to within ±0.05 mm and ground to Ra 0.8 µm for controlled bead friction. Each band is individually serial-matched to a specific rim base on assembly.

FIVE THINGS WE WON'T COMPROMISE ON

The five process disciplines that separate a Kelios rim from a commodity wheel.

7.1

SINGLE-PIECE FORGED RING

Bead seat bands are forged from a single ring — no rolled-seam joints, no spot welds at the bead-contact zone. The seam is the weak link in every cheap competitor; we engineer it out.

7.2

CNC-TURNED CONICAL SEAT

The bead-seat angle is CNC-turned to the OEM specification within ±0.03°. Off-angle by half a degree and the tire walks under brake load — measured, not estimated.

7.3

GROUND BEAD-CONTACT SURFACE

The bead-contact face is surface-ground to Ra 0.8 µm. Smooth enough to control friction at the bead, rough enough to prevent slip — the right number, not the lowest one.

7.4

PAIRED + SERIAL-STAMPED

Every band is matched and serial-stamped to a specific rim base on assembly. The pair travels through finishing, anodizing, and shipment together — and ships as a verified unit.

7.5

TIRE-SUPPLIER VALIDATED

Bead-seat geometry is co-validated with the three largest OTR tire manufacturers (Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear) before release. Compatibility is signed off, not assumed.

HOW IT'S MADE

01

FORGED RING

Single-piece forging in HSLA steel — no rolled-seam joints.

02

CONICAL TURN

CNC-turned to the OEM bead-seat angle within ±0.03°.

03

SURFACE GRIND

Bead-contact surface ground to Ra 0.8 µm for friction control.

04

PAIR & STAMP

Matched and serial-stamped to its specific rim base on assembly.
